We were sent a gorgeous box of Cow & Gate’s new ‘The Super Yummies‘to try out. They are a new range of toddler snacks with lots of different choices so something to suit all tastes.
Discover an exciting world of textures and tastes with the Super Yummies, packed full of loveliness for little ones 12 months and above.
The packaging is the first thing you notice,it’s bright, colourful and inviting so appealing for children. I tried them out with my daughter who is 3 but they are suitable for children aged 12 months+ so would be great to add to your weaning journey as new tastes and textures. (Strawberry/banana yoghurt pieces are suitable from 36 months)
Her favourite was the ‘fruit squeeze ‘ in mixed berries & coconut flavour, this was great for an after nursery snack and because it’s in a pouch it doesn’t make a mess. Although as you can just about see there is a rice cake in the corner of the pic and she tried squeezing the fruit onto it,can’t fault her for trying new things though can you! They also count as a portion of fruit. The rice cakes were also a firm favourite there’s just the right amount of flavouring which isn’t too sweet. There are no sugar or salt added in only the naturally occuring ones so you don’t need to worry about them having a sugar overload.
Also in the range are squeezy yoghurts, breadsticks, fruit & yoghurt pieces and beetroot & parsnip slices. The spinach breadsticks are a very interesting colour 🙂 and I wasn’t sure what they would be like. They are however very nice and as they come in a resealable bag you can give them a few at a time, which is great as there’s no waste.
Overall we really liked these, the only one my daughter wasn’t sure about was the beetroot and parsnip slices but I think that was just because it’s totally different to any of the snacks we would usually have.I’d definitely recommend them if you’re looking for something new to try with your toddler.
The Super Yummies are available from all major stockists and are priced from 75p and upwards.
