Wally The Washer Review And Giveaway

We’ve reviewed Drumond Park games in the past and always loved them and Wally The Washer is the latest to get the PickingUpToys kids seal of approval. Based on a washing machine theme – with real turning movement no less – complete with smelly sock! There’s also a chance to win one for yourself at the end of this post!

Inside the box you will find:

  • Wally The Washer
  • Dirty Smelly Sock
  • 5 red clothes pieces
  • 5 blue clothes pieces
  • 5 green clothes pieces
  • 5 yellow clothes pieces
  • Clothes Peg
  • Sticker sheet
  • Red washing line & poles
  • Blue washing line & poles
  • Green washing line & poles
  • Yellow washing line & poles
  • Instructions

As with all the other Drumond Park games we’ve played we really like the fact there’s no complicated putting together, you just need to find yourself 3 x AA batteries (not included) and pop them into the bottom of the unit. Then it’s a very simple case of popping the stickers in the right places and choosing which colour clothes you’ll be picking out and put together the clothes line for the chosen colour. Very simple click either end.

The Smelly Sock – I think they may have taken inspiration from my eldest, ha.

To play the game put all the clothes inside and  place Wally The Washer in the middle of the table and each person has their chosen clothes line in front of them ready to hang the clothes. Switch the On/Off switch to On and Wally will start spinning. Each player then takes it in turn to stop Wally by pushing down on the soapbox on the top, this opens the door thus dropping items of clothing.

If only clothing falls out each player takes clothing of their colour BUT if the Smelly Sock has also fallen out then all clothes must go back in and the player that stopped Wally when the sock fell out must wear the Giant Clothes Peg on their nose until the Smelly Sock falls out again.

The first player to finish hanging all their clothing on the washing line is the winner. If 2 people get their last piece at the same time, it’s the player that hangs it quickest.
