Cruel To Be Kind (At My Nits End)

Having tweeted about my nitty nightmare recently with me not being able to get rid of the blighters a Twitter friend pointed out I must be ‘at my nits end’. There the song Cruel To Be Kind (I prefer the Letters to Cleo version) popped into my head (scratch, scratch) and I ran with it. Here’s my take on the song with a creepy crawly twist. Thanks to Endastories for giving me the idea!

Oh I can’t take another headache.
Though I know you’re my kid, I’m at my nit’s end.
You say your hair is bonafide but that don’t coincide with the scratching you do.
And when I ask you for no lice, let’s shave!

You’ve gotta be cruel to be kind, in the right measure.
Cruel to be kind, these nits are a swine.

Cruel to be kind, means that I love you baby.
(You’ve gotta be cruel)
You gotta be cruel to be kind.

Well I do my best to to use the Lyclear.
But there’s still parasites and I want to know why!
I pick those critters up out your hair.
To have them turn back up again and again.

And when I ask you to explain, let’s shave!
You’ve gotta be cruel to be kind, in the right measure.

Cruel to be kind, these lice are a swine.
Cruel to be kind, means that I love you baby
(You’ve gotta be cruel)
You gotta be cruel to be kind.

Well I do my best to use the Vosene.
But you’re still touching heads and I want to know why.
I put that hair up in a tight bun,
To have you pull it back down again and again.

And when I ask you to refrain, let’s shave!
You’ve gotta be cruel to be kind, in the right measure.

Cruel to be kind, these nits are a swine.
Cruel to be kind, means that I love you baby,
(You’ve gotta be cruel)
You gotta be cruel to be kind.

Are you scratching your head yet? Have you got any amzing tips for getting rid of headlice?
